This month of October, Google officially announced their new product named Pixel. If you were a follower of Google product, Pixel might sound familiar to you because they used it before in their consumer hardware products. Pixel was created by Google from hardware to software. It boasts a 12MP camera and f/2.0 aperture to brighten up your photos and an 8MP secondary camera that can record 1080p videos. That’s not bad for a secondary camera specially to the selfie addicts. Google claimed that Pixel has the highest rate for the smartphone camera. I don’t know yet because up until today, I’m still a big fan of Nokia808 Pureview. :D

Google Assistant

I saw it in one of their Youtube videos that this phone has a built-in Google Assistant. It’s like their own version of Siri but you can chat with it. I tried Google Assistant via Allo, Google’s version of Whatsapp. You can ask the Assistant to set your reminder, schedule a meeting, ask for weather, etc.

The phone can be pre-ordered via their Google Pixel's Website and is expected to be released this coming October 20, 2016 at a price range of $769 for the 32GB variant and if you want an extra memory, it will cost $869 for the 128GB variant.

So, I’m sure to some it’s an old gadget to brag about but I’m new to this and this is my first time using it. I heard about Chromecast when a friend of mine posted it on his Facebook that he has one. I inquired everything about it but didn’t really think of owning one because I don’t have a TV yet in my room back then. That was like a year ago from today. Last week, this friend of mine posted a new photo of his Chromecast 2, the latest model and I was still curious about it so I inquired about it again. After doing a little bit of research about it, I think I’ll love this little HDMI Dongle because I really love to watch movie on my TV with my Pioneer Home Theatre attached to it. This very friend of mine told me that he has a spare one but the 1^st generation of Chromecast that is. It didn’t really bothered me owning an old model because I love the idea of not connecting my laptop directly to my TV via HDMI, a wireless connection between them is cool. So, after I sent him the money, my New Old Model Chromecast arrived and immediately tried it. Setting it up was easy, you just have to connect your Android Phone or iPhone and your Chromecast to the same network and set your WLAN Password and that’s it, you can enjoy watching Youtube videos or videos saved on your local disk, streaming music, viewing photos and etc. So, all I can say is that it’s a good deal buying a Chromecast dongle if you enjoy watching movies a lot. Just last night, I tried the one month free trial of iFlix (well, we don’t have Netflix here in the Philippines) and everything seems to be working fine with them and the Chromecast. So, if you love to watch movie and have the feeling that it’s a bit of a hassle connecting laptop to the TV or maybe plugging in a USB Stick to the TV, Chromecast is a good buy for you people. Microsoft and Nokia have been working on the advertising of the Nokia Lumia running Windows Phone 7.5 OS (Mango). Last November 28, 2011, Deadmau5 and Nokia collaborated in celebrating the launching of Nokia Lumia by using the world’s most advanced projection technology (4D) in creating an amazing free light show at Millbank Tower, London.

When I watched the video, it was so amazing and very realistic. Also, Microsoft is offering the Windows 7 experience on iOS and Android users on their phone via a Windows Phone Emulator. It won’t affect the operating system of your mobile phone; all you have to do is to visit this link to check out the demo. The demo lets you swipe through the Windows Phone in Mango interface. It will let you browse through photos, contacts, messages and even call. So if you’re planning of buying a Nokia Lumia but you’re thing twice, try out the demo first and see it for yourself. 

The last fight of Pacquiao and Marquez on November 13, 2011 was very controversial to all the boxing fans all over the world. I am a Filipino so I think you know whose side I am. I watched the replay one by one per round and tried to analyze the fight. For the first few rounds, it was Pacquiao who dominated the fight but on the Rounds 7, 8 and 9; I think Marquez countered Pacquiao but on the last 4 rounds, Pacquiao took over again dominating the whole fight. I’ve seen this picture in Facebook about how Marquez’s step-the-foot-of-Pacquiao trick made him almost won the fight. If you’re going to check the photo very carefully, you can see that Marquez steps on the foot of Pacquiao and throws a power punch on him. It was like holding Pacquiao so he cannot get away from Marquez’s power punch. It was too really obvious when I watched the replay over the Internet. I read an article on Yahoo! about Pacquiao having a foot cramps beginning the fourth round which is the first round we ever saw Marquez doing the step-the-foot-of-Pacquiao trick. Pacquiao is not making excuses, he was a victim of cheating here. Marquez was a very good fighter, he is well known in counter punching but on this fight, he cheated on Pacquiao where Pacquiao almost lost the fight. Hacker group who took credit in hacking Syria’s defense site last Monday is targeting Facebook as their next victim. Anonymous, politically motivated hackers are targeting Facebook because they claim that Facebook is using its registered member’s personal information by selling it to Government agencies so they can spy on them or should I say “US”. The date of the operation is on November 5, Guy Fawke’s Day in Britain. If you watched “V for Vendetta”, on the first part of the movie, the scene was all about Guy Fawke who placed explosives under the British House of Lords on 1605. Common type of operation of “Anonymous” is by using Distributed Denial-Of-Service attack or commonly known as DDoS Attack. What’s gonna happen with this one is that the hacker will send you loads of packets until your internet connection will slow down or worse, you’ll lose connection to the Internet. This happened to me before when I had a fight with this guy from IRC who happen to be a hacker. He attacked me by using DDoS and there I lost my Internet connection. Good thing I was at the Internet café that time, my personal Internet connection was not touched. So, going back to the Anonymous’ announcement of attack at Facebook, we should all be waiting for this and see what’s Facebook’s counter-attack to them. I never thought that this kind of music is possible not until my cousin Karl introduced me to Dub FX ’s music. My friends and family knows I’m into Hiphop music and that might be the reason why my cousin gave me a Youtube link of Dub FX ’s video. Dub FX’s style is unique; he creates his own beat, his waves, his cymbals, his loops on the spot and by using his own voice. Dub FX, real name Benjamin Stanford, performs on the streets worldwide together with his fiancée, Flower Fairy . He is using a Roland Boss Effect and Loop Pedals to create sounds vocally and when joined together creates live music. His genre is Hiphop, Reggae, Trip Hop, Trance and House. Sung-bong is a great talent God has created. He is a tenor that can be compared to Josh Groban. In this video, he sang the famous “Nella Fantasia” originally an instrumental and was turned into a song by Sarah Brightman. Sung-bong was very passionate in singing the song in front of the audiences and made them wiped their tears after the performance. Its not only the audiences that felt the music deep within but also the judges of the Korea’s Got Talent. Sung-bong’s story is very sad. He was left in an orphanage when he was 3 and escaped it when he was 5 because of being bullied by the people inside. After escaping from the orphanage, he started selling gums and energy drink and slept at stairs or public toilets at night. That’s what he do for about 10 years. With a talent like this, Sung-bong will definitely have a very wonderful name in the music industry not only in Korea but also International.

After 20 years of being a full pledged member of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Krayzie Bone and Wish Bone left the group I suppose for good. Krayzie and Wish is now busy with both of their solo careers and also their own label “The Life Entertainment”. Krayzie Bone announced this shocking news last April 14, 2011 citing “uncontrollable circumstances”. Flesh-n-Bone just said “F*** Krayzie Bone!” on his statement at a radio station. It wasn’t really a good story to me since I am a very big fan of Bone Thugs N Harmony. Just last year the group released their album “Uni5: The World’s Enemy” and then came 2011 with this very very bad news. The 5 members were just reunited when Flesh was released from jail.

 I wonder why Krayzie would have to leave the group when he can still be able to focus on his solo career just like the old days. I am still hoping that the good ol’ days of Bone Thugs will be coming back some time soon. For me, Bone Thugs N Harmony is not Bone Thugs N Harmony if members are not complete just like those days when Bizzy left the group.
