Philippine Prudential, Scam or Not?

Posted by Boffill Saturday, December 12, 2015

Philippine Prudential as we all know is a life insurance company that are known to be a scam to some people. But for me, I would definitely say they’re not. I first heard about them when their agents went to our training school and offered their life insurances. The agents were very convincing so I thought of getting one for my father. The deal is when your insured family member is beyond 65, your automatic payroll deduction will be stopped by them and the insurance policy will become null and void. My father, who was 60 years old died last February 2015. I actually forgot everything about Philippine Prudential until I checked one of my payslips and noticed that I am still being deducted by them. So I called their office and checked if what can be done to be able to claim my benefits. I was instructed to get a copy of their form from their website so I downloaded and filled it up. It took me almost a month to finish everything because there’s a form that needs to be filled up by the last attending physician of my father. So, everything went fine and I sent them the filled up forms last July. I was advised to wait for 60 days for the releasing of the check. After several calls and texts to one of their agents, they sent me the money through bank deposit but that was almost after 5 months from July. Although it took them a while to send me the benefits, I am still happy that these people can really be trusted though I really had a doubt about them before.

This are the screenshots I took while checking my LandBank Account via Mobile

I read about different blog posts over the Internet about Philippine Prudential and some people are really frustrated. Everybody has different stories like they were invited to the Company’s Store and others were visited by an agent while others are being called over the phone, but one thing is for sure, these people are not scammer. They are actually being listed by the Philippine Insurance Commission as one of the Licensed Insurance Company that can operate in the Philippines.

Place I Remember

This afternoon, I had a chit-chat with my classmate about how’s life going on. We were talking about personal experiences and stuff and one topic that brought into us is about the places I’ve been through. I told her that I was raised in Davao City and transferred to Manila to help my parents on their small business. I enjoyed living in Manila because everything there is a challenge. When my parent’s small business went bankrupt, I decided to work at an advertising firm. It’s more of a nocturnal shift so I’ll have to sleep during daytime and will have to wake up at night. Geez! That’s an abnormal life. I am on that way of life for more than 2 years until I got tired with it. So I decided to resign from my post and work somewhere else. Now, I’m here at Naval, Biliran, at my Father’s province and currently doing something that I really like (something I can’t disclose online). I found it very easy to adjust here compared to Manila. People here are very hospitable and very friendly.

Anyway, I am creating this post because there are times that I’m missing Manila sometimes. I never came back there since last year. There are times that I miss the MRT, the busy traffic, the people walking waiting for a jeepney ride at Aurora Boulevard and of course the food there. I can’t find Yellow Cab here or Krisypy Kreme, not even Max’s or Wendy’s or Burger King. I’ll have to travel to Cebu just to ease this salivating mouth. Here are some of my snapshots taken from my late N82 (rest in peace Cammy).

The Bird Dropped it While its Hot!

Since our class was given a 6 day vacation after 6 months of a much regimented schedule, I decided to go back to our place in Naval and enjoy my 6 days there. I couldn’t relax yet because I’ll have to finish the registration of my motorcycle and will have to renew my driver’s license. That’s a lot of stuff to do. In normal days, I always wake up late so I went to LTO office after lunch and was told by the security guard to have my drug test and medical certificate processed first. So I went to the drug testing center first and stayed there for two and a half hour just because my little Jr can’t produce juice. After giving the tester my finish product, I went out and felt relief because it was too shameful for me staying there for more than 2 hours doing nothing. It was almost 5pm when I got the result of the drug test so I decided to go to this sidewalk vendor who sells noodles in a cup. It’s a homemade noodle with real beef on it. My cousin introduced me to them last year. Just this afternoon, I ordered a cup of noodle from Mamang Noodle and gave me my order after he mixed the ingredients. I was happily eating and standing along the street. Tasted the beef and other ingredients while it’s hot. While I was enjoying the noodle and its soup, I noticed that something just dropped into my bowl. It’s a slimy white color substance that came from heaven. When I checked on where does that substance came from, I saw a bird flew from the top of my exact position! Mamang Noodle saw it and laugh. No doubt, it was the bird’s SHIT that dropped into my noodle. Too bad I left a few slices of beef because I was saving the best for last.

Weekend Pass Update

Since we already have a privilege pass during weekends, I am now planning of updating my blog during weekends to the best that I can. I can only access a computer during weekend and that's the time that I can only update my online stuff specially my blog. Well, with the help of some tricks on my Omnialite, I can be able to access the Internet but its really hard creating a blog article using my phone so I think I should stick to the weekend pass blog update. I missed posting nonsense stuff here in my blog. I'm still proud of it though I know that this blog is not a big "hit" to the netizens. Anyway, thank you for wasting your time reading this entry. :D
