Install any unsigned apps to your Nokia phone

Posted by Boffill Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Download these FILES first.

The 4 files needed are in this zip.

STEP 1:

Install Y Browser on your phone.

STEP 2:

Install HelloCarbide.sisx.

STEP 3:

Connect Your phone using data transfer mode or PC Suite (via file manager) and copy the other 2 files (installer.exe and CProfDriver_SISX.ldd) to a directory somewhere on the phone (remember where!) I copied mine to E:\Hack

STEP 4: - READ CAREFULLY!!!

Open up Y-Browser
Hit the Menu key (so Y-Browser is still running in the background)
Run HelloCarbide from your applications folder.
Click options >> Menu1
--it will say-> Done....probably
Then click Yes
Go back to Y-Browser
Copy the 2 files mentioned in Step 3 to C:\SYS\BIN

Note: If you accidently exit Y-Browser before you have copied the files, you will have to turn your phone off and back on and repeat step 4.

STEP 5:

Once the 2 files are in the SYS\BIN folder, you can turn your phone off and back on and Voila! You will now be able to install unsigned apps like RotateMe, etc.

Date needs to be set at 2009 first.

When I run Hellocarbide and set option to menu1, it says nothing and application exits.

Anyways, I cant access the folder C:/sys/bin???

Can you please tell me the firmware of your phone? Possible thing that may be happening with that one is that your firmware is not supported by this hack.

Hi!
Thanks for your concern.
its v 31.0.016
Is that what I was supposed to tell
Tried xplore symbian, It shows sys folder but wont let me use it in anyway.
Your other method also didnt work as it gives component built-in error(as some others also have exclaimed).

Wait I installed Hellocarbide from somewhere else and installed it
now when I select Menu1 it asks for a lot of options.
I give a yes to all. after the last es the app will exit.
but sys folder will still not appear in Y-browser

I mean I got the app from some...
and after the last YES HelloCarbide exits.

Oh, now I got it. The reason why you could not be able to install this one or use this hack is because you are using a higher version of firmware. This hack is only compatible with S60 V3 with firmware V20. You are using the V31 and that's one of the latest. Nokia just released V35 firmware for N82 and V31 and V35 are hackable with HelloOX.

Only HelloOX unsigned is available for free but I dont know how to use it. And I am a freeware lover. pleeeeease help me.
You know what a mess it is if you cannot install apps.

hello boffill,
i have copy pasted all the four files to my cell phone(nokia n82 V 31.0.016)from my desktop through my external bluetooth device(memory card just got busted cannot connect via pc suite). But when i try to install the hello carbide.sisx file it says "Certificate may not yet be valid is expired or phones data setting maybe incorrect". For the y browser theres some other error. Is it because of the bluetooth method or some other problem that it does not get installed.
--Please help--
Sheldon.
