The Pope is tweeting. The Pope's Twitter account have reached it's 1M follower mark last Wednesday.
His inaugural tweet was “Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart,” and the number of followers of his @pontifex account became over a million.
The Pope will now be using his account to answer some of the questions delivered to him by users who are in doubt or those questions about Catholic church. It will also be used for his announcements and for dessimination of Catholic message. The messages will not be written by the Pope himself but instead, it'll be written by the members of the Vatican secretariat and will be submitted to him for approval.
