The Filipino Doctors

Recently, we heard the news about the Cebu Hospital Scandal wherein the patient of a certain hospital in Cebu was insulted by doctors and nurses during the operation. That incident is an evidence of improper treatment to their patients and they broke the Code of Ethics that they have been protecting for how many years. Another incident was the case of an old lady who was a victim of hit and run in Marikina City. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but what happened there is that the doctors did not accept her and then asked to be passed to another hospital in Quezon City. She was brought there but the same thing happened, they did not accept her and then brought back to the fist hospital. I can see no sense in the hospital’s sides if why wouldn’t they accept the patient even if she was suffering from pain and might lose her precious life in an instant. Then that time, I thought of the “Desperate Housewives Phenomena” where one of the main casts talked something bad about the Filipino Doctors. I thought that the writer of that sitcom did make a research and has firm evidence supporting the phrase that the character has spoken. Filipinos abroad filed a complaint about that sitcom and asked for a public apology from the staff and the network where the sitcom is being played. These may be the ironies of the people, others are fighting for someone but that someone that they are fighting for is not doing what is good and what is right. I just hope that doctors and other professionals will review their code of ethics and try to reminisce on what they have oath. They are just giving a very bad reputation for the Filipino Doctors. They spent a lot of money and time just to pass the board exam but it will only take a matter of seconds for them to lose their dignity and degrade themselves!

as for canister scandal in cebu i think the doctors and nurses involved is their liecense must be removed.or they must retake their exams.. its common in the phil. hospitals that no money no service is available for them.. i think the gov must see this problem...
